IYENGAR YOGA-Yoga is a systematic and dynamic practice, with an emphasis on precise alignment and therapeutics. The practice of Iyengar Yoga will often result in eliminating aches and pains as well as improving posture. The asanas (poses) are structured and categorized to allow students to progress surely and safely from basic postures to the most advanced as they gain flexibility, strength and sensitivity in mind, body and spirit. Props and modifications are utilized, allowing access for all ages, body types, and levels of conditioning under the supervision of suitably experienced teacher.
STRENGTH/BALANCE/RESTORE- This class is a slower pace class with the emphasis on understanding how and what muscles to engage while learning where to stretch safely as you continually build strength to keep your body balanced and restored.
VINYASA FLOW YOGA- Vinyasa yoga is a physical practice of yoga that focuses on linking yoga poses, or asanas, together in a fluid, smooth way.
MAT PILATES- The Pilates Method of body conditioning emphasizes principles of controlled and mindful movements that strengthen the entire body, especially the "core". Core muscles consist of the deep abdominals, gluteals and lower back muscles of the torso, otherwise known as your "powerhouse" or "center". When movements are initiated from the core, the risk of strains and injuries are greatly reduced.
MONTHLY CLASSES- classes will ony meet once a month!
RESTORATIVE & MEDITATIVE YOGA- This class is for anyone who wants to incorporate a gentle, relaxation class to learn how to alleviate stress and anxiety. The first half of the class will be a gentle warm up with basic yoga positions. The second half will be restorative poses that bring a passive stretch to the body followed by a guided meditation for relaxing the mind. This class is for beginners as well as seasoned yoga students. Class will meet at 10:30-11:30am on Wednesdays
All Level Flow- Pay What You Can!- A Donation based class $5-$10 Sugestion. This class will meet at 11:00am-12:00pm on Sundays
PRENATAL YOGA- A class designed for expectant mothers that includes strengthening yoga postures, restoration, breathing exercises, and community with other moms to be. This class will meet at 2:30-3:30pm on Saturdays
POSTNATAL BABY & ME YOGA- A class designed for postnatal students to regain strength in their bodies and to feel empowered in their yoga practice after pregnancy. Bring your baby and come meet other moms! This class will meet at 1-2pm on Saturdays
