IYENGAR YOGA-Yoga is a systematic and dynamic practice, with an emphasis on precise alignment and therapeutics. The practice of Iyengar Yoga will often result in eliminating aches and pains as well as improving posture. The asanas (poses) are structured and categorized to allow students to progress surely and safely from basic postures to the most advanced as they gain flexibility, strength and sensitivity in mind, body and spirit. Props and modifications are utilized, allowing access for all ages, body types, and levels of conditioning under the supervision of suitably experienced teacher.

VINYASA, SUTRA STUDY & MEDITATION- This class is one part asana in the linked-together or flowing vinyasa style, one part sutra study (the formative text of yoga in the West) and one part silent, seated meditation. We'll use the sutra study to inform the meditation technique. You are welcome to lie down as you grow your ability to be in seated meditation. If you have a sutra book, please bring it.

HAND-STAND HOUR- No ability to do a hand-stand necessary. No ability to come close to hand-standing necessary. This is a playful and physical class. Due to its physical nature, it's better to not bring serious shoulder, elbow or wrist injuries.

MAT PILATES- The Pilates Method of body conditioning emphasizes principles of controlled and mindful movements that strengthen the entire body, especially the "core". Core muscles consist of the deep abdominals, gluteals and lower back muscles of the torso, otherwise known as your "powerhouse" or "center". When movements are initiated from the core, the risk of strains and injuries are greatly reduced.

TAI CHI- Tai Chi is considered to be one of the Five Excellences in Chinese Culture along with Music, History, Art, and Calligraphy. It utilizes principles from the Book of Changes (Tao Te Ching). While Tai Chi is a Martial Art, it is much more in that it encompasses meditation, health, and cultivation of both physical strength and internal strength.

BELLY DANCING- MissiHIPPY In these beginner friendly classes we will begin to explore fundamental movements of belly dance. Learn to do isolations, figure 8’s, undulations, shimmies and more! No previous dance experience necessary.

BARRE- thebarrE is a body burning, strength building, breath focused workout using a ballet barre. With your bodies resistance and low impact isometric movements to high energy music resulting in long lean, sculpted muscles. Perfect for all ages and fitness levels from beginner to advanced.
